Turkey Burger
A delicious option for your next dinner, cookout, or gathering with friends.
Its a wonderful lean meat alternative too. I love turkey burgers and these ones have just the right amount of kick to keep them interesting and a crowd pleaser all at the same time.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground turkey (or chicken)
1 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Hot Sauce or Red Pepper Flakes
1 1/2 TB - 1/4 C coconut flour divided
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Mix ground meat, salt, pepper, hot sauce and 1 1/2 TB coconut flour (see notes below for other options here) together in a bowl.
Divide into four and shape into patties.
With the remaining coconut flour (or substitute) on a plate, gently press the patty into it to get a light coating on each side
Bake for 25 minute or until the internal temperature reaches 165.
You can also cook these in a hot skillet with a couple tablespoons of oil.
A couple notes regarding the recipe:
The recipe calls for Coconut flour. However, if you don't have this you can also use almond flour or try flax meal.
Enjoy!
