Did you know:
Turmeric and, more importantly, Golden Milk Lattes are touted to have many benefits. According to Healthline.com here are some of the top ones.
#1. The key ingredients are loaded with antioxidants. The curcumin in turmeric has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for this very reason. Studies have indicated that diets rich in antioxidants may lower your risk of infection and disease. Ginger and cinnamon both are rich in antioxidants as well.
#2.The drink ( or my protein bites) can reduce inflammation and joint pain due to the potent anti-inflammatory properties of ginger, cinnamon, and curcumin- the active ingredient in turmeric.
#3.This combination may improve memory and brain function. Curcumin may increase levels of a compound that helps the brain form new connections and promotes the growth of brain cells. Cinnamon may help with Alzethimers as well as reduce the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Ginger may improve reaction time and memory.
#4.The Curcumin in turmeric may improve mood and possibly reduce symptoms of depression.
#5.The drink may protect against heart disease since ginger, cinnamon and turmeric have all been linked to doing this.
#6.It may lower blood-sugar levels thanks to the ginger and cinnamon.
#7. May reduce risk of getting cancer due to the potential cancer-fighting benefits of ginger, cinnamon, and curcummin.
#8. The Curcumin in turmeric has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties which may help prevent and fight infections. Ginger and cinnamon may inhibit and even prevent the growth of some bacteria.
#9. Ginger and Turmeric may improve digestion. Ginger can speed up stomach emptying and turmeric can improve the digestion of fat by encouraging the production of bile.
All that to say, there are a lot of reasons Golden Milk Lattes are not only tasty but very beneficial to your overall health.
